About Us
Leading the Future of STEM
We are an education nonprofit seeking to mentor the next generation of students in the STEM field. Our organization employs a unique teaching style, instructing through research, application, and critical thinking to foster an understanding and curiosity of STEM.
Our Story
Our organization was founded by highschoolers interested in the STEM field. We dreamt of sharing our knowledge and love of STEM throughout our community, fostering curiosity in a new generation of students.
As students, we became increasingly disgruntled with the lack of real STEM learning opportunities. In school we learned to memorize and regurgitate information on tests, but we were not satisfied. We wanted to research, apply, and create to have an impact on the word, so we founded Horizon to create that opportunity for others
